Elephant Rocks

Elephant Rocks State Park is a state-owned geologic reserve and public recreation area encompassing an outcropping of Precambrian granite in the Saint Francois Mountains in the U.S. state of Missouri. The state park is named for a string of large granite boulders which resemble a train of pink circus elephants. There are hiking trails, a playground, and lots of picnic areas to enjoy. 

Johnson Shut-ins
148 Taum Sauk Trail, Middle Brook, MO 63656  // 19 minute drive

Roughly 13 sq. miles of rugged hiking, camping & swimming in a rocky, cascading river. You will find waterfalls, rapid waters, and calm swimming areas for kids. This is also the perfect place to have a picnic while you take in the beautiful scenery we have to offer. 

Millstream Gardens 
Hwy 72 toward Fredericktown, about 10 miles on the right. // 15 minute drive

Millstream Gardens Conservation Area is a 916-acre tract of land in Madison County, about halfway between Fredericktown and Arcadia, off of Highway 72. The spectacular Tiemann Shut-ins are within the area's boundaries. Hiking, walking, picnics, swimming, and kayaking are perfect for Millstream.
